Fran Lebowitz On ‘Public Speaking’

The writer Fran Lebowitz is many things: a witty observer of American life, an author of two collections of essays and one children’s book, and a contributing editor to Vanity Fair. ¬†But one thing she’s not is shy.

“Public Speaking,” the name of the documentary in which Lebowitz is both subject and star is directed by her good friend and not-so-shabby filmmaker, Martin Scorsese. ¬†Lebowitz will be in Boston May 16 for the screening of the film at Brookline’s Coolidge Corner Theatre.
