Soul Meister Jesse Dee

When Jesse Dee was growing up in Arlington in the 1980s, he wasn’t listening to pop music like most of his peers. His ears were glued to WODS, an R&B and doo-wop oldies station.

So what was  the result when Jesse first picked up a guitar at the age of 18? A soul-infused sound that’s landed him opportunities to play with some of his idols, including Etta James and Al Green. His latest accomplishment is a brand new album, “On My Mind/In My Heart”

Jesse Dee, an R&B and soul singer-songwriter from Boston

Boston Globe “Five years later, Dee is back with his sophomore release, and what a difference the passage of time makes. Where his debut was easy like Sunday morning, “On My Mind/In My Heart” presents Dee more fully formed and in control — both of his voice and his songwriting.”
