Tonight, a celebrated lineup of musicians will grace the TD Garden stage at the Boston Strong concert, an evening of support and celebration for people affected by the Boston Marathon bombings. Performers include Carole King, James Taylor and the Dropkick Murphys — as well as an unexpected guest, the poet Richard Blanco.

Richard Blanco became nationally recognized after reading his poem One Today at President Obama’s second inauguration. He’s debuting an original poem titled Boston Strong for tonight’s event.

Richard Blanco, a Cuban-American poet based in Bethel, Maine, and the first Latino and openly gay poet to read at a presidential inauguration.
