Red Sox fans share their memories of Fenway as the ballpark turns 100.
Trisha and David Boisvert first met on May 31, 1985, when a mutual friend invited them to watch the Red Sox play at Fenway. They’ve been together ever since, and this year they’re celebrating 25 years of marriage.
For Joe Albiani, his favorite Fenway Park memories stem from the 1967 season, otherwise known as “The Impossible Dream.”
Kristin Wixted took her 11-year-old daughter Bridget to her first Red Sox game on May 19, 2008. The Sox were playing the Kansas City Royals and while the night was memorable, it wasn’t just because it was Bridget’s first game.
The Yankees were just three outs a way from a trip to the World Series when the Red Sox came back to win in extra innings, and then marched on, and eventually won their first World Series since 1918. Radio Boston’s Anthony Brooks recalls being at the stadium that night.
